Whilst on student placement at Sir Harold Hillier Garden, England I developed an education programme and led on construction of Japanese design elements into the Schools Education Garden. This traditional bamboo fence was constructed with secondary school students.

Pruning is an important element of garden maintenance, being carried out for health of plants and to make use limited space more effectively, also to create aesthetically pleasing forms which could be either naturalistic or artificial. Throughout my career I have gained knowledge and understanding of pruning and in particular have practiced the traditional Japanese cloud pruning technique.
